I am a nature person, I love walking in the forest with my camera and find beauty in the small things. When I see jewellery inspired by nature it really makes me happy, so I wanted to share some of my recent Etsy finds. These are only a few so be sure to check out the artist's shops, because there are many more beauties out there! Some of these will certainly be on my wish list for christmas...

Something is wrong with the post editor and it will not let me add tags, so here they are : etsy, favourite finds, floral, flower, forest, fresh, green, moth, necklace, plant, silver beetle, style, jewellery, nature, inspired, pine, cone, branch, whale, ring, earrings, silver, cocrete,

Photography on a Sunday afternoon # 2.

This sunday I wanted to share some of latest photos. It's a little while ago, but I got one of my friends to  come with me to this water nearby and take some photos. It was really cold, but a lot of fun!

Always another journal

Lately I have realised that I have a slight obsession with journals and planners. There are so many uses for them and so many lovely ones out there and I have way too many already. The problem for me is that I never manage to decide what to put in the journals and I seldom finish them. Therefore I don't really need new ones, but I end up getting them anyway.

Luckily the same does not go for planners. I am the kind of person who will forget everything if I do not write it down and if I don't have my appointments and things to do scheduled out I am pretty sure I would go insane (maybe I already have...). So around this time of year I start looking for the perfect planner for next year. This year I have had a very nice weekly planner from paprerblanks and last year I had a smaller moleskine. For 2012 I have my eyes on the Frankie journal (no 2. over) or a moleskine or one of the others above...

Are you a journal person? If any of you out there know of a nice planner please tell me!

Photography on a Sunday afternoon

It's Sunday afternoon and I'm pretty tired after doing maths homework the whole day, so I just wanted to share a couple of pictures from this summer. When I look at these they take me straight back to the moment I shot them and the happy memories from that time. I hope you like them!

Favourite finds: Ruche

Some days ago I found my way to the Ruche online store and was amazed! The style is perfect for me, just the right mix of cute and stylish. I could easily use a lot of money there, but for now I'll stick with posting some of my favourite finds here. If you know of any similar store, please tell me!

One day I'll buy:   1. These shoes  2. this blouse 3. this dress and 4. this necklace.

Inside gardens

Lately I've found myself looking a lot at indoor terrariums. There is something about having a patch of  green freshness on your desk while you work that seem to lighten up any day. Of course a flower does the same job, but the easy care of a terrarium makes me hope that even I might manage to keep it alive. There are dozens of very lovely glass containers you can find on etsy, but I think I might try and make one myself with that mason jar I put aside the other day, in the meantime I'll continue dreaming about the these lovelies...

Starry night

The Milky Way and Perseid meteor shower light up the night sky by Ethan Allen (ethan-t-allen)) on 500px.comA couple of nights ago my father and I went out to look for shooting stars. We are both fascinated by stars, galaxies and those kind of things, so when we heard there was going to be something special to see we could not keep away. We went up on a field nearby and even though the moon was really bright and there was quite a lot of light from the nearest town, we actually saw a couple of really bright shooting stars. I feel really lucky that I have a father that always have taken me with him to look at things like this.

I did not bring my camera, but take a look at all these fantastic images. All are linked to the original source so go on and take a look.

Welcome

Hello and welcome to the Silver Beetle!
This blog have just started up and will be a place for photography, crafts, design, food, style and everything else that interest and inspires me. Just now I am getting the design for the site ready, so expect some small changes! There will also be a new post in the near future, but until that I hope you have a very nice day!
